Under Dan’s guidance we learned to look at our business from an outside perspective, to see our biases and overcome them. I believe that an exit-ready company is one that is stable, free of structural problems, with a healthy, performance-oriented management culture and mindset, with fluid and consistent flows and procedures. It is a company that knows its strengths, which it nurtures and multiplies, but also knows its weaknesses, which it improves and controls. For us Exit By Choice was not about selling. For us Exit By Choice was about awareness, optimization, refinement, lateral thinking and “filling the gaps” we had in our company. A company ready to sell is first and foremost a healthy company, and Dan and Exit By Choice are best suited to help you on the road to “getting healthy”

I chose to work with Exit by Choice because it was a proven recipe for success and because of Dan’s professional history, very much respected by people I know and appreciate.

Our interactions have so far been good. It’s an interaction created by either a gentle teacher or a fierce teacher who has paved the way. I feel good in this framework. I feel like I’m starting to perform!

Until now some essential things I have been searching for have been made clear: how an investor evaluates the target-company, what they are really paying attention to, how to set the EBITDA multiple, strategy, what I need to focus on, targeted marketing, how LinkedIn works, how to prioritize sales services. Those are just a few examples.

I work with Exit by Choice because, an entrepreneur, even with several managers by my side, I feel surer when I need to make tough choices alongside an experienced peer who listens and shares his view, based on personal experience. I don’t believe in the idea of “coach” who only relies on quotes from books without actual accomplishments in the field. I searched for info on Dan Berteanu and realized that his experience could be a huge help.

The interaction with the Exit by Choice team is going according to expectations – both friendly and professional. They manage to clarify certain uncertainties but at the same time draw attention to problems I had yet to acknowledge.

At the time I began working with Exit by Choice I was in talks with several investment groups and a strategic investor and my mind was scattered. What I wanted most from this collaboration was to help me understand what I was really searching for in an investor and whether I am ready for exit. This collaboration has helped me to clarify these quandaries and to better understand what I wanted and what was necessary for my business.

I started working with Exit by Choice because of the feedback provided by other of Dan Berteanu’s partners and, in a larger part, due to his business history. We meet twice a month and the interaction surpasses any expectation, while the program is impeccably structured. I can already say I have reached better clarity when it comes to my business, its calibration, and various connections in the financial-investment field.

I chose Exit by Choice after having participated in a BTRL and I feel they are very professional and to the point – exactly what I gathered from other of Dan Berteanu’s presentations during various conferences, presentations that really caught my attention. Until now we’ve had super focused and interactive business conversations, and even if we still have a long way to go together, so far, our relationship is professional, pleasant and constructive.

Exit by Choice is for a me a way to find out my company’s real status and I decided to work with them because I felt I could no longer grow my business and because it makes sense in any owner’s life to start taking an exit into account.

I find it very interesting that: 1. I can find several ways to inspire my daily activities. 2. I am being made to look at my business objectively and that brings a certain level of discomfort but also the desire to better organize my business. In short, I think the most precious things I’ve earned are decisional clarity and a direction for my actions.

I went to a presentation and I understood that the program is about how to get out of the day-to-day operation of your company and the team and therefore the business to become as independent as possible from you. After 5 years of growth and a lot of work, Logiscool had reached a maturity phase of the network and I needed to re-establish existing processes and create new ones, together with my colleagues.

Here the collaboration with Dan helped me clarify some priorities, to see things from another perspective – and a well-built one that I can trust.

In addition to this process, there were also many situations and business decisions in which it was very useful to consult ‘on the moment’, which was not necessarily the initial purpose of the collaboration, but which caught me well.

There were also networking areas where I received help and I generally appreciated flexibility and open collaboration, attentive listening and very oriented towards my needs and not towards ‘quiver’ solutions, as I sometimes felt can happen in the business consulting area.
